Learning that connects people, knowledge, and real-world impact.
Hi, It’s Nice To Meet You!
I’m James, a learning and enablement leader with a passion for helping people succeed. Over the past several years, I’ve led the design and delivery of customer education, onboarding, and internal enablement programs in fast-paced SaaS environments. My background blends learning experience design (LXD), instructional design, and adult education with a strong focus on measurable outcomes such as driving adoption and retention, along with customer and employee success.
I believe learning should be human-centered, empowering, and aligned with real-world goals — helping learners solve problems, build confidence, and connect new knowledge to their own experience. Whether building scalable onboarding journeys, leading 1:1 learning experiences, or developing self-service content, I focus on helping people feel confident, capable, and supported. I’m a lifelong learner myself, always exploring new ways to make learning more impactful and more human.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me on a trail with my dog Chester, taking day trips with my family, or digging into the latest ideas in learning and leadership.
How My Work Makes a Difference

How I Design Learning Experiences
With 9 years of experience in B2B SaaS — spanning product training, enablement, and leadership in Customer Success and Support — I’ve developed a learning design approach that focuses on helping people succeed, not just consume content. I design learning experiences that are relevant, practical, self-directed, and outcome-driven. The examples here reflect my commitment to creating learning that empowers people, supports business outcomes, and respects the learner’s journey.
-
Learning should help people achieve meaningful goals, solving real problems, not just transferring information.
-
Learning must be immediately applicable, with clear connections to real-world tasks, challenges, and desired outcomes.
-
Adults learn best when they can guide their own learning journey. I design experiences that support autonomy and exploration.
-
Effective learning builds on what people already know. I aim to connect new learning to prior knowledge, experience, and context.
-
Learning should help people do something better — driving both personal success and measurable business outcomes.
-
At its best, learning empowers people. I design experiences that build confidence, foster mastery, and respect the learner’s journey.
